TRAVELLER OF THE MONTH: Abbi from Life in a Rucksack

Welcome to Wanderwings’ very first Traveller of the Month feature! You have no idea how excited I am to share with you all the wonderful stories behind these very inspirational travellers! Every second Saturday a new Traveller will be featured! Hope these guys inspire you to pack your bags and explore the world! πŸ™‚

And without further ado…I present to you Wanderwings’ first…

I am from the North Coast of Northern Ireland; a small town called Coleraine. I am currently back in Coleraine, catching up with family and recovering from a busy trip to New York City. I move around a lot, as I work temporarily for a few months at a time, before travelling again. I am due to move to Staffordshire in England in a few days time.

I am not sure if I can pinpoint an exact time. I was always a curious child, wanting to see and do things, and always asking β€œWhere’s next?” I set off on my first solo trip to the USA at the age of 17, and after I realised how easy it was, and how amazing the World was, I wanted to go and see some more.

Watching the sun rising from Mount Cook in New Zealand after a 5 hour hike through rough terrain and snow. It was the ultimate reward. That and having an ice cold cider to sip on at the end.

Biting into the Big Apple

Don’t hesitate, just commit – feet first, You won’t regret it.

Starting off in Sri Lanka, and travelling up through India and into Nepal is what I’d love to do next. I’d also love to go to Beijing and travel on the trans Siberian railway.
