This weekend we had a day with no plans, nice weather and motivation to get out and do something spontaneous and completely random.
We decided to follow the recently opened last stops of Tram 4 to Falkenberg.
Strolled to the main train station among hundreds of Freimarkt visitors, enjoying the weather.
We took the 4 and lounged to our destination.
Borgfeld came, we left Bremen, and a few stops later we were finally at our destination. Nothing special to visit but beautiful green fields and a canal, perfect to enjoy a breathe of fresh air.
It was about lunch time already so we set ourselves to find a place to eat, alàs we were around the corner from a favourite eating spot of many locals, an Asian restaurant that used to be a den of iniquity back in the day: Asia Modern (Falkenberger Landstr. 84, 28865 Lilienthal)
Cheerily greeted by a lovely hostess and guided to a window desk, we set on finding something on the menu that catered to our tastes (and rawwring stomachs!)
An incredible variety of Asian dishes on the menu can be enjoyed daily. We set ourselves for a couple gargantuan portions of egg-fried rice with veggies and beef/chicken. Which we couldn’t tackle, so got packed and taken home for dinner.
But if you are a Grill fan and come by Mo – Sa between noon and 3pm, there is the possibility of a Grill buffet for about 9€ per person, and they’ll not only cook your meal right in front of you but it also includes sushi. Oh and the venue can also be rented for special events.
After such a large meal, we took a walk around the neighboring meadows back towards town as the sun started to set (it gets dark already at 5:30 pm).
It was beautiful all around, and this year’s mild temperatures have given us a bit extra time to enjoy these sort of nice spontaneous autumn walks, tho I’m really starting to miss the cold! because otherwise, when am I ever gonna wear my lovely jumpers and autumn/winter clothes? Oh well, let’s hope it comes soon! Snow pleaseee ^^
Anyhow, it was a wonderfully perfect date day, and so atypical that I’ll remember and cherish it forever. What is that thing that makes a date perfect for you? What was your best date ever? Share your stories down in the comments, can’t wait to hear all about them ^^
